When used as a scrub, the coarse texture of the salt helps to remove dead skin cells, revealing a smoother and more radiant complexion. Regular exfoliation can also improve the absorption of other skincare products, allowing them to penetrate deeper into the skin.
When used as a soak, these blends create a relaxing spa-like experience.
This salt scrub is made with a blend of essential oils I use to soothe irritated skin and stop itching bug bites.

Praise for our parts:
(what folks have to say about our ingredients)
chamomile - natural antihistamines help with redness, itching, and irritation; may speed up healing and recovery
eucalyptus - healing benefits can be attributed to its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, deodorant, and antiseptic qualities
lavender - has soothing properties, can be pain-relieving, and has notable anti-inflammatory effects on a cellular level
lemon & lemongrass - have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties
peppermint - is used to soothe inflammation, irritation and itchiness on skin and scalp
rosemary - may help relieve pain, increase circulation, and reduce joint inflammation
tea tree - antibacterial effects may help relieve inflamed skin, boost wound healing, fight acne, and has anti-fungal properties
jojoba oil - jojoba oil is renowned for its numerous skin benefits: moisturizing (closely resembles the natural oils produced by our skin, moisturizes without leaving a greasy residue), anti-inflammatory (helps reduce redness and inflammation associated with various skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea), antibacterial (can help fight bacteria on the skin, reducing the risk of acne and other bacterial infections), soothing (beneficial for calming irritated or sunburned skin), anti-aging (antioxidant properties help protect the skin from free radical damage)
grapeseed oil - thanks to its vitamin E and linoleic acid content, grapeseed oil can lighten skin discolorations like acne scars and sunspots; help speed the healing process and decrease the formation of keloid scars (raised, enlarged scarring commonly caused by acne)
calendula flowers - are rich in antioxidant compounds, have anti-inflammatory properties, can reduce sensitivity, soothe irritation, keep skin hydrated and help protect from the effects of UV exposure
-
Safety Considerations:
(associated with the pure extract, but included for informational purposes)
chamomile - if you have a medical condition or are taking medication, please consult with a physician before use
lemon - photosensitizing (recommended to avoid prior to direct sunlight exposure); may cause skin irritation
lemongrass & peppermint - consult your doctor before use, especially if you have a medical condition, or are taking medication; avoid use on hypersensitive or damaged skin, and on children less than 2 years of age
rosemary - in addition to above, recommend avoiding use with small children, the elderly, those with epilepsy, pregnant and/or nursing women
tea tree - may cause dermal sensitization in some people; do not take internally
it is highly recommended to consult your doctor before using essential oils while pregnant or for children under 10 years old
