While a soap dish significantly extends the life of your handcrafted soaps, you can also extend the life of your handcrafted, natural-wood soap dishes.
Use one soap dish for 2-3 weeks, then gently wipe clean with a damp cloth and set aside and allow it to fully dry out. Use the second dish for 2-3 weeks while the first dish dries out, repeating the cycle.
Allowing dishes to fully dry out will prevent mold and mildew from developing and will prevent wood from becoming waterlogged and rotting.
